How would you like to see open spaces at Mosman Bay and Little Sirius Cove managed?

Mosman Council has prepared a draft Plan of Management for public land in Harnett Park and Reid Park on Mosman Bay, and for Sirius Park and Curraghbeena Park on Little Sirius Cove.

The study area includes bushland and walking paths, informal parks used for children’s play and other recreation activities, and buildings including Mosman Marina, Mosman Rowers Club, 3rd Mosman Bay Sea Scouts, Sydney Amateur Sailing Club, 1st Clifton Gardens Sea Scouts and amenities

A range of actions have been developed in the preparation of the draft Plan. The intention of the actions is to address some of the key issues identified in the preparation of the draft Plan and to ensure the orderly management of the reserves.

Key actions that are identified in the draft Plan include:

  • Investigate opportunities to improve the amenity of all reserves through the installation of drinking fountains, new bins, picnic facilities, etc.
  • Undertake bushland maintenance to improve native vegetation cover to greater than 90% across all reserves.
  • Investigate parking options and restrictions across all reserves.
  • Investigate construction of a children’s bike track in Reid Park.
  • Investigate upgrading kayak and dingy storage facilities at Sirius Cove Reserve and Harnett Park.
  • Investigate construction of fenced off leash dog area in Reid Park.
  • Investigate construction of public toilet block in Reid Park or install wayfinding signage to nearest public toilet.

Does the draft Plan reflect your expectations for how the area should be managed in future?

Are any issues with their use or management unaddressed?
