On 12 December 2018, the Local Traffic Committee considered a report on the proposal to ban right turn movements from Avenue Road onto Military Road. Buses and cyclists would be exempt from this proposed restriction. This proposal will not restrict right turn movements from Military Road into Avenue Road.

The Minutes of this report is available on Councils website, under “Traffic Committee Agendas and Minutes 2018”, found at, https://mosman.nsw.gov.au/council/meetings/minutes-agendas-archive.

The Committee resolved that the proposal be advertised for community comment. Subject to favourable feedback, a traffic management plan will be prepared for the proposal and submitted to Roads and Maritime Services (RMS) for consideration. If community feedback is unsupportive of the proposal, the matter will be referred to the next available Traffic Committee meeting.

Comments can be provided to Mosman Council by completing the online survey. Responses close on Friday, 8 March 2019.
