Consultation has concluded
Proposal to grant a 15 year extension of the lease of that part of the Balmoral Boatshed premises located on Balmoral Park above the mean high water mark to the current lessee at the end of the current lease on 30 September 2025.
Transport for NSW has already granted a 15 year extension of its lease for that part of the boatshed premises below the mean high water mark and the proposed extension of the Balmoral Park lease maintains concurrence with the maritime lease. Both leases would therefore expire on 30 September 2040.
Council at its meeting on 1 June 2021 resolved unanimously to place on public exhibition, a proposal to grant a 15 year extension of the current lease of that part of the Balmoral Boatshed premises at 2 The Esplanade. The current lease expires on 30 September 2025 and the proposed extension is to ensure the two separate leases of the boatshed premises located on Balmoral Park (Council) and maritime land (Transport for NSW) to the lessee, Balmoral Boatshed Pty Limited are aligned. Any submissions by way of objection will be reported back to Council for determination, otherwise the lease will be granted.
The report to the Council meeting detailing the proposal and recommendation adopted by Council is attached together with the statutory notice required under Section 47 of the Local Government Act 1993.
