Bradleys Head Road – New Pedestrian Footpath and Boardwalk to Athol Hall

Consultation has concluded
Council has developed a concept design to extend the footpath on Bradleys Head Road to Athol Hall.
The primary aim of the project is to provide the missing pedestrian link and increase safety and amenity. The works will include the following:
150 metres of new footpath
60 metres of new boardwalk
Pedestrian refuge
The removal of 10 trees some small, replaced with 5 on site and an additional 5 will be planted at Little Ashton Park
Drainage improvements
9 new car spaces
85 metres of dedicated cycle lane
Boardwalks and porous paving (near significant trees) will be used to reduce the impact on the natural environment and the improved drainage will decrease rubbish and runoff entering the National Park.
We are currently seeking community input on the proposal. The concept plans are available for public comment and can be for downloaded on this page. Submissions must be received by Wednesday 22 April 2020 via the online survey below.
