The revision of Mosman Council’s Child Safe Policy does not represent a radical departure from previous practice. Rather a strengthening and modernisation of the existing framework to reflect updated legislative obligations and best practice guidelines. The policy enhances clarity, governance and accountability while maintaining Council’s commitment to the safety and wellbeing of children and young people. It is designed to provide clearer structure and separates policy from operational procedure, and embeds continuous improvement processes to ensure ongoing compliance and a consistent organisation wide child safe culture.

At its meeting on 4 November 2025 Council approved the policy for exhibition. The document can be viewed on this page.
