Mosman Municipal Council is proposing to close a Council public road that adjoins 63 and 65 Parriwi Road, Mosman (Lot 2 DP 593701 and Lot 17 DP 71366) in order to facilitate the occupation of the road by structures including driveway ramps, retaining walls and associated landscaping belonging to the adjoining properties. Upon closure of the road Council intends to sell the land to the owner of 63 and 65 Parriwi Road.
The Council public road proposed for closure is identified and highlighted in the survey plan and aerialphoto attached. The report attached considered by Council at its meeting on 2 September 2025 provides full details of the proposal and application. This notification is being made in accordance with Section 38B of the NSWRoads Act 1993.
Who knows about the proposal?
Council has forwarded notifications to adjoining land owners, notifiable authorities and any other land owners considered to be affected by the proposal. Council also arranged publication of a notification to close the road to appear in the Mosman Daily on 25 September 2025.
What should you do now?
Any person is entitled to make submissions to Council with respect to the closing of the road.
If you wish to make a submission please do so here by 26 October 2025.
What happens next?
Council will decide whether the road is suitable for closure after considering all duly made submissions.
