At its meeting on 6 October 2026, Council endorsed the Council Land and Floor Space Acquisition and Disposal Policy to be placed on public exhibition.

The draft Council Land and Floor Space Acquisition and Disposal Policy replaces the Road Reserves Sale, Lease and Consent Policy, and Procurement and Land and Asset Disposal Policy and reflects a broader range of property matters, including the acquisition and disposal of land and floor space, private encroachments, legacy occupation arrangements and proposals involving road closure and sale.
