Concerns have been raised regarding the operation and safety of the Harbour Street/Nathan Lane intersection.
Council’s Traffic Engineers have investigated the matter and considered the options available to improve safety at this location.
Nathan Lane is a narrow roadway that provides two-way access between Harbour Street and Gurrigal Street.
It is considered that the formalising of the intersection
with a Give Way sign and
associated road markings
will improve driver awareness of intersection geometry and improve safety at this location.
Proposed Give Way sign and road markings
The proposed Give Way sign installation does not impact kerbside parking.
