Council is exhibiting the new Draft Community Participation Plan, called "Involving the Mosman community in planning".

The Draft Community Participation Plan will make it easier for the community to understand how they can have their say on planning decisions that affect them.

The community participation plan explains how and when Council will undertake community participation when exercising its planning functions, in particular relating to:

  • Development Applications
  • Local Strategic Planning Statements
  • Amendments to the Local Environmental Plan
  • Draft Development Control Plans
  • Draft Contribution Plans

As part of amendments to the Environmental Planning and Assessment Act 1979 (the Act) all planning authorities are required to prepare a Community Participation Plan as defined under the Act.

Council is inviting feedback on the Draft Plan until 26 September 2019. See below for details on how to make a submission. The Draft Plan can be downloaded here (PDF - 5.53MB).
