Consultation has concluded
Council is seeking community feedback on a proposal to upgrade Hamlet Lane with pedestrian safety treatments. These treatment options include the implementation of a shared zone along Hamlet Lane, as well as the implementation of continuous footpath treatments across Hamlet Lane at Raglan Street and Shadforth Street respectively. The following documents have been provided for your information:
1. Concept design of a shared zone and continuous footpath treatments on Hamlet Lane.
2. Information pamphlet on 'Shared Zones'
3. Example of a typical continuous footpath treatment.
Note: A continuous footpath acts as a visual and physical threshold to slow drivers entering the area. Vehicle access is maintained, however, pedestrians have right of way over a continuous footpath.
