Consultation has concluded

Roads Act consent – Amaroo Crescent adjacent 11 Coronation Avenue

Council has received an application for consent to occupy that part of the Amaroo Crescent road reserve adjacent 11 Coronation Avenue occupied by the existing concrete driveway constructed by the owners in 1986. Whilst Roads Act consent is not required for access structures located on Council road reserve, the owners are seeking to limit vehicular access and movements adjacent their property for privacy and safety reasons and to formalise use of part of the driveway as vehicular parking hard stand areas for themselves and their visitors. It is also proposed that the landscaped areas between the boundary of 11 Coronation Avenue and the concrete driveway be included in order to formalise the landscaping occupation of that portion of the road reserve. Pedestrian and maintenance/service/emergency vehicular access including access to the bush track leading to Balmoral Park remains unaffected by the proposal.

The Amaroo Crescent road reserve is surrounded on the eastern, northern and western boundaries by Crown land Reserve 100184 which forms part of Balmoral Park. The proposal does not include that area of the Amaroo Crescent road reserve occupied by bushland and not occupied by the concrete driveway.

Please review the attached plans which show that portion of the existing concrete driveway subject to the proposal highlighted in yellow and the portions of landscaped road reserve between the boundary of 11 Coronation Avenue and the concrete driveway to be formalised highlighted green. Any approval will be subject to survey.

Council welcomes your comments on the proposal by Thursday 5 October 2023.
