Council’s Sponsorship Policy has been reviewed and is on public exhibition.

The policy has been reviewed to incorporate the direction provided by a recent Council resolution to limit Council’s support for fossil fuel and gambling related organisations. As part of the review, some additional changes have been proposed that seek to more clearly articulate aspects of the policy as well as provide a sound framework for Council to operate under when seeking, entering, managing and executing sponsorship arrangements with external organisations.

At its meeting on 7 October 2025, Council approved the policy for exhibition. The document, with track changes, can be viewed on this page.

The public exhibition period closes on 6 November 2025.
