Every year, Mosman celebrates the individuals who make our community stronger, kinder and more connected through the Citizen of the Year and Young Citizen of the Year Awards.
Whether they're volunteering behind the scenes, leading community initiatives, supporting local organisations, protecting the environment, excelling in sport or the arts, or helping others in countless ways, these awards recognise people whose contributions make a real difference in Mosman.
Award Categories
Citizen of the Year: Aged 19 years and over Nominate here
Young Citizen of the Year: Aged 12 to 18 years as at 26 January 2027 Nominate here
Who Can Be Nominated?
Nominations may be made for:
Mosman residents who have made an outstanding contribution to the community or brought credit to Mosman.
Non-residents whose volunteer work or activities have directly benefited the Mosman community or environment.
Before You Start
You'll be asked to provide:
Contact details for the nominee
A summary of their achievements and community contributions
Examples of how their efforts have benefited the Mosman community
Information about how long they have been involved
Any supporting documents (optional)
Your contact details as the nominator
Areas of Contribution
Nominees may be recognised for contributions in areas including:
Volunteering
Community service
Education
Health
Sport
Arts and culture
Environment
Fundraising and charity
Business
